Wendy Roy serves the Foundation as Executive Director for the Cenla Medication Access Program (CMAP). This program's mission is to ensure appropriate medication access and education as well as promotion of other preventive health practices among residents with limited incomes in Central Louisiana. She holds a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University. Roy also has a B.S. degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the Foundation, Roy was the Regional Director for Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana. She was responsible for organizing and overseeing child abuse prevention activity within the region including program delivery, fund-raising, public education, public awareness, and volunteer recruitment, training and management.
Garrett Boone serves the Foundation as CMAP Healthy Lifestyle Exercise Specialist. He is responsible for leading clients through safe and effective exercises and developing individualized workout plans. Garrett has a bachelor's degree in general studies with a concentration in Kinesiology from LSUA and a master's degree in Exercise Science from ULM. He has worked for Christus Shreveport/Bossier in the cardiac rehab since graduating, focusing on helping patients recover from heart procedures and making lifestyle modifications to improve their heart health. Garrett is BLS and ACSL certified. With a background in Exercise Physiology, Garrett helps to bridge the gap between the exercise we should be doing and how the body responds to this exercise. His clinical knowledge helps clients to better understand how exercise will help them and how it may affect any conditions or diseases they may have.
Kevin Brown is a pharmacist with the Cenla Medication Access Program. He manages the CMAP Express Central Fill Pharmacy and is responsible for conducting thorough medication reviews with “high-risk" eligible patients, overall patient education and compliance, as well as monitoring for possible drug interactions. He communicates with physicians and pharmacies to keep them informed of their patient's involvement in the program. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas. He has 17 years experience in retail pharmacy. Prior to joining The Rapides Foundation, his most recent position was as a Pharmacy Manager with Wal-Mart.
Stephanie Heinen serves the Foundation as Cancer Screening Specialist. She is responsible for coordinating the Cancer Screening Project's mobile mammography unit where patients can be screened for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer. Heinen previously served as Administrative Assistant for the Healthy Lifestyle Program
Pamela Jones serves the Foundation as the Coordinator of the Healthy Lifestyle Program. She is responsible for promoting the program through physicians and employers and for assisting clients to lead healthy lifestyles through development of individualized nutritional interventions. She is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana State University and she completed her Dietetic Internship at Louisiana Tech University. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Cenla Dietetic Association. Jones previously worked as the Outpatient Clinical Dietitian at CHRISTUS Cabrini Hospital.
Lydia Kozlowski serves the Foundation as CMAP Healthy Lifestyle Exercise Specialist. She is responsible for leading clients through safe and effective exercises and developing individualized workout plans. Kozlowski has over 20 years experience teaching fitness classes and weight training throughout Indiana and Louisiana. She has her personal training certification from the Cooper Institute. She is also certified in group exercise and weight room training from Aerobic & Fitness Association of America. Kozlowski is a certified hatha yoga instructor and Yoga Alliance member with a 200-hour yoga certification. She is also a certified Les Mills RPM (indoor cycle) instructor.
Tammie Middleton is the Administrative Assistant for the Healthy Lifestyle Program. She works with the program's registered dietitians and exercise specialist to maintain schedules and patient records, requests pertinent labs per the dietitians’ requests and explains program guidelines to patients. She also has the responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the program's office duties.
Under the Cenla Medication Access Program, PAP Specialists work with the physicians in their designated parishes by coordinating applications with the physician and their patients to obtain free medications from various pharmaceutical companies for those who qualify.
Crystal Watts serves the Foundation as the PAP and CMAP Office Supervisor. She has the responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the PAP program as well as the CMAP Express central office. Watts supervises PAP Specialists and is responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling of PAP Specialists to ensure that PAP offices are staffed and operated effectively. She also coordinates communication with PAP clients and prescribers, as well as activities that support the Cancer Screening Project, the Healthy Lifestyle Program, and the Smoking Cessation Program
