Grant Opportunity

The 2024-2025 Youth Volunteer School District Grant seeks to provide linkages among students, schools and nonprofit organizations to support community service opportunities, build leadership skills among high school students, promote student achievement of the Louisiana Department of Education's Community Service Diploma Endorsement, and foster a lifelong commitment to being engaged in the community. The grant will provide funds to support the facilitation of Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) Club meetings and project activities. The funding opportunity is open to public school districts in Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon, and Winn parishes.

Grant funds will be disbursed at the district level and are based on the number of participating middle and high schools. All middle and high schools are encouraged to participate. Complete details about grant requirements can be found in the Youth Volunteer School District Grant Commitment Form located in the Key Materials section in the right column. Please review the document thoroughly prior to submission. Required grant attachments are also located in the Key Materials section.

District Coordinators must offer the grant opportunity to all schools in the school district, compile the information, and then complete the online grant forms and required attachments using the Foundation’s online application process. (see Proposal Submission link in right column.)
