CMAP Healthy Lifestyle Program
CMAP Express is looking for a qualified, experienced Registered Dietitian to promote healthy eating habits and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for Healthy Lifestyle Program clients in the nine-parish area served by The Rapides Foundation and CMAP. The qualified candidate must have knowledge of the principles and practices of dietetics and nutrition, using evidence-based research.
The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, in an accredited dietetics program and current license/registration with the Commission for Dietetic Registration (CDR). An active dietetics license in Louisiana is also required. Knowledge/background/certification in physical fitness/personal training is preferred. Three to five years dietetic experience is necessary, as well as strong skills in the following areas: team building, organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal relations. The qualified candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and be willing to cover the nine-parish service area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing individual Medical Nutrition Therapy and group nutrition and exercise counseling to clients; and supporting, motivating, and educating clients on healthy eating and exercise habits for sustainable lifestyle change.
