CDW announces 2025 trainings

CDW announces 2025 trainings

Classes run through October 2025

Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, announces its complete 2025 training schedule for 17 free, skill-building training classes taking place from March 11 to October 22.

The CDW Training Calendar serves as a professional development resource for nonprofit staff, volunteers and for anyone interested in improving the Central Louisiana community. You do not have to work at a local nonprofit to take advantage of this training.

In-person workshops are held at The Rapides Foundation Building in downtown Alexandria and online webinars are offered at BigMarker. Participants do not need to download software to attend the online courses.

This year’s training schedule covers five topic areas: starting a nonprofit, grant writing, technology, board governance and community engagement. Some classes, including beginner and intermediate grant writing, will be offered three times this year to accommodate people’s schedules.

Participants can opt to attend all courses within a single topic area or select those of specific interest. Additionally, archived webinars are accessible on the CDW website.

Visit www.communitydevelopmentworks.org/attend-training to find a complete list of courses or to register. Call CDW at 318-443-7880 for more information.

CDW trainings are part of The Rapides Foundation’s Social Environment Initiative with the goal of increasing the number of nonprofit staff and volunteers in Central Louisiana.
