Applications due by April 19
The Rapides Foundation has released the 2024 Youth Volunteer Summer Service Grant, a funding opportunity designed to provide participating partners with grant funding to implement community-based service opportunities during the summer months for youth ages 11 to 18.
Applications are being accepted from nonprofit organizations, municipalities and other community-based organizations within The Rapides Foundation's nine-parish service area. Grant awards of up to $5,000 are available to integrate community service clubs into local summer programs from June 1-August 31, 2024. Grant activities are prescriptive, and applicants must agree to complete all required activities. Applicants should have existing youth programming or past experience working with youth.
The deadline for submitting an application is 1 p.m. CT on Friday, April 19, 2024.
The Youth Volunteer Summer Service Grant is a component of the Foundation's My Civic Life program, which provides middle and high school students with leadership and volunteer service opportunities through participation in community-based Youth Volunteer Corps Clubs.
