Thirty-seven high schools from nine Central Louisiana parishes are entered in The Rapides Foundation’s 2012 Video Challenge.
Teams are currently producing 60-second videos on the importance of students getting training and skills to prepare for a career after high school. The winning video will be incorporated into the communications campaign used to promote the Cenla Work Ready Network.
Once the videos are turned in, The Rapides Foundation will post the videos on its website beginning April 9 for public viewing. A panel of judges will select the top 10 videos for advancement to the Video Challenge Film Festival on Wednesday, May 2, at the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center, Alexandria. At this gala event, the Top 10 finalists will present their videos for final judging, the top three videos will be announced and prizes awarded, and awards will be presented to the winning schools in all other categories. Judges at the event will then select the winning videos.
