Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, has posted its Spring 2011 Training Calendar. In addition to onsite workshops, CDW now offers a host of webinar trainings this year. All workshops and webinars are available free of charge to any Central Louisiana resident.

Webinars can be completed from your home or office computer. Onsite workshops will be held at The Rapides Foundation Building, 1101 Fourth St., Alexandria. Registration for workshops or webinars can be done online.

• Webinar: Characteristics of a High-Performing Board. Join us for a highly interactive training using a Jeopardy-style game that you play from your computer. At the end of the game, you’ll know what it takes to be a high-performing board.

• Webinar:  DASHBOARD—An Organizational Analysis in One Click.  A Dashboard provides a timely but thorough overview of an organization’s current status and how it measures up to its long-range planning goals.
• Webinar:  Social Media and Your Nonprofit.  Maximize use of blogs, instant messages and petitions. Get the most out of online networks such as Facebook and Linkedin
