Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, is offering skill-building training for Cenla residents and nonprofits. All workshops and webinars are available free of charge. Webinars are one hour long and can be accessed from most devices using the GoToWebinar app. Workshops take place at The Rapides Foundation Building, 1101 Fourth St., Alexandria.

To Be or Not To Be a 501(c)(3) with CDW staff member Felicia Walker, Thursday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to noon. Receive an overview on how to start a nonprofit organization, including how to file with the Secretary of State’s office and IRS.
Grant Writing Workshop
Introduction to Finding Funders with CDW staff member Felicia Walker, Thursday, March 19, from 9-11 a.m. Learn to find funders with the Foundation Center’s comprehensive funding research tool.
Evaluation Series
A three-part series on measuring program success with Trainer/Consultant Leroy Divinity
1. Webinar: Researching Evidence-Based Programs, Tuesday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to noon. Learn how to research programs that are proven to work before reinventing the wheel.
2. Workshop: Program Planning with Logic Models, Tuesday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gain an understanding of how to effectively design your program and make more strategic decisions.
3. Webinar: Setting Performance Indicators, Tuesday, March 24, from 11 a.m. to noon. Learn how to create and maintain a monitoring system that leads to accomplishment.
