CDW Learning Lab offering free downloads

The Learning Lab at Community Development Works has expanded its services by offering eBooks and audiobooks, available for downloads from the CDW website. Library card holders can check out and download books for free.

This new service is powered by OverDrive, a leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, music and video and used by thousands of libraries and schools.

Visitors to the CDW website can request a Library Card number and, once issued, check out books of interest to nonprofit organizations. Topics include grant writing, community building, finance, fundraising and consulting. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.

This new service is an extension of the CDW Learning Lab, a place for citizens, community groups and nonprofit organizations to access technical assistance, information, publications and databases that support citizen-led community development efforts. The Learning Lab is located on the first floor of The Rapides Foundation Building in downtown Alexandria and is open during regular business hours.

CDW is a program of The Rapides Foundation. Click the link to request a free Learning Lab Library Card. Print
