Louisiana Public Broadcasting will air the Get Healthy Cenla Video Challenge Film Festival on Sept. 24 and Sept. 25, allowing people in Central Louisiana and the rest of state to see the tremendous work of our area high school teams to spread the word about healthy nutrition and physical activity.

This one-hour program will air on LPB-2, cable Channel 701 for most Central Louisiana subscribers.

The dates and show times are:
• Saturday, September 24, at 5 p.m.
• Sunday, September 25, at 8 a.m.

Thirty-nine high schools from across Central Louisiana entered the contest by creating a 30-second video on nutrition or physical activity. The list was narrowed to 10 following an online judging process, with the finalists competing in the Film Festival on May 10. Grace Christian High School won first place in the competition.

Grace Christian students worked with the Foundation’s media professionals over this summer to create a multi-media campaign based on their original concept. The school’s winning entry “Get Healthy, It’s the New Normal!” is part of a unique multi-media campaign that was recently launched. It includes two 30-second spots (one focusing on healthy eating and the other focusing on the importance of exercise), print advertisements, radio ads and Facebook marketing: www.facebook.com/therapidesfoundation.
