Healthy Places Webinar Announcement

The Rapides Foundation is announcing its Healthy Places Program, a process to connect community leaders to resources and expert technical assistance to create a community plan to support healthy lifestyles. The Foundation will hold an informational webinar on Tuesday, August 5, at 2:00 p.m., to allow interested community members to fully understand the new program. The webinar is for anyone interested in the Program, even if you did not attend the Information Sessions held in July.

The webinar will answer frequently asked questions about the Healthy Places Program, and explain how to apply for services. The Foundation encourages all interested applicants to invite their prospective partners to join together to view or listen to the webinar, and then discuss the opportunity among themselves afterward.

Consistent with The Rapides Foundation's mission to improve the health status of Central Louisiana, the Foundation is seeking interested applicants who are committed to reducing the major causes of chronic disease, premature death, and disability caused by poor nutrition, physical inactivity, tobacco use, and alcohol and substance abuse.

Participants can view the webinar on a computer (recommended), or listen to the webinar on a telephone.
