Trainers will present workshops in Central Louisiana
The Orchard Foundation is looking for individuals with education or early childhood development expertise to provide training and development services for its new Read to Soar Early Literacy Program.
Read to Soar is a free, eight-week reading workshop for children ages birth to five years and their parents or caregivers. The workshops help develop and strengthen a culture of reading at home by educating parents, building a child's home library, and increasing awareness about community resources to help ensure the child has the tools for school success.
The Read to Soar Trainer's Scope of Work includes development of community partnerships and program locations within assigned parishes, participant recruitment, development of program policies and procedures, and facilitation of parental/child reading workshops according to an identified curriculum. Some workshops are expected to be held in late afternoon, evenings and weekends. For further information contact Early Childhood Literacy Program Coordinator Rebekah Simpson at RSimpson@theorchardfoundation.org or (318)767-3029.
